Objective:To investigate the diagnosis and treatment of breast ductal carcinoma in situ and analyze the pathologic characteristic. Methods:There were 36 eligible patients with primary DCIS diagnosed and surgically treated in the Second Hospical and Tumer Hospital of XinJiang University from July,2008 to August,2009. We analyzed their distribution of age, menstrual status, tumor position, lymph node metastasis status, ultrasound performance, mammography and immunohistochemistry status and so on. Results: The 36 cases of DCIS accounted for 4.88% of all breast cancer cases for the same period. The average time from the appearance to diagnosis was 12.4 months among 36 cases. The peak frequency was in 40-49 years of age,the next was in 50-59,The number of premenopausal patients was 21(58.3%), and the postmenopausal was 15(41.7%). Protoplasmic tumer in the left side:15 cases(42%),that in the rigt side:19 cases(52%),in both sides: 2 cases(2.9%).In most cases, protoplasmic tumer were in the upper outer guadrant, 16 cases(44%). The diagnostic accuracy of mammography, ultrasound and frozen pathology was 87.1%,96.6%,83.3%. The expression rates of ER,PR,C-erbB-2,Ki-67 and nm23 were 45.5%,42.4%,48.5%,48.5%,69.7% respectively; Patients mainly underwent mastectomy. Conclusion: The characteristic of clinic and pathology about the study of DCIS in the 36 cases is conformity with documens'reports. B-mode ultrasound is easy to carry out universally,no damage and diagnosis rate is higher than others, and the of practical application is higher in diagnosis. The expression status of ER,PR,C-erbB-2,Ki-67 and nm23 is helpful to determine the prognosis and treatment of brest ductal carcinoma in situ; Breat conserving treatment should be considered as the first choice for DCIS. Postoperative DCIS needn't chemotherapy. VNPI is a certain reference value to formulate of treatment plan.
