Effects Of Natural Medicine Turkish Gall On Caries Development In Rats

Objective: Based on the experimental observation of animal natural medicines Turkish gall effect of dental caries prevention, natural medicine for the prevention of dental caries Turkish gall provided the experimental basis for clinical research. Streptococcus mutans level: Compared with the distilled water, and the rest of the group to different extents in both strains decreased, only NaF and CHX group compared with the distilled water there is significant difference (P<0. 05) ; 2. caries Keyes points: the experimental group of drugs on the formation of dental caries in rats and the severity of the suppression in varying degrees, of which Turkish gall show on sulcal-surface and smooth-surface caries had a good effect (P<0.05) , but were lower than the NaF group; Turkish Gall + NaF group had no obvious role in the synergistic inhibition of caries. 3. safety evaluation: throug the food and water consumption and the weight gains, the healty oral moucous membrane of the rats, the different groups didn't significant difference(P>0.05),the general appearance of the rats had better, the oral moucous membrane had health during the experiment period. Conclusion: The natural medicine Turkish gall inhibited rat oral Streptococcus mutans growth and metabolism, effectively prevented the occurrence of dental caries,by that oral cavity part applies , not having seen obvious toxicity reaction.
