Clinical Study Of Acupotomy In Frozen Stage Of Periarthritis Of Shoulder

Objective:To provide a better treatment for shoulder periarthritis patients,we observe the effection of the treatments by acupotomy and acupuncture in freezing period of frozen shoulder periarthritis'joint pain and ROM,and compare the two treatments'clinical effect through clinical evaluation.Methods:We choose 39 cases who fit the diagnostic criteria of shoulder periarthritis(clinical course more than 2 months) according to《Efficacy of TCM diagnostic criteria for certification》.Divid them into two groups(Acupotomy group and Acupuncture gruop) randomly. According to the earlier research results about the acupotomy operation approach of shoulder periarthritis patients,the acupotomy group follow the'four step of Zhu Hanzhang'Kniffe-needle operation procedures, once a week,3 times a course of treatment.The acupuncture group take the points of the diease side such as:Jianyu Jianliao Jianqian Binao Hegu Quchi Waiguan Ashi point,once two days,10 times a course of treatment. After a course of treatment,take a efficacy assessment of the two treatments in shoulder periarthritis'joint pain and ROM and compare their clinical effect.Results:(1) Comparing the integral of joint the pain and ROM within the acupotomy group before and after the treatment, difference has extraordinary notable meaning(P<0.01).(2)Compairing the integral of joint pain and ROM within the acupuncture group before and after the treatment,difference has notable meaning(P<0.05).(3)Compairing the amplitude of the integral decrease in joint pain and increase in ROM of the two group after the treatment,difference has extraordinary notable meaning(P<0.01).(4)Compairing the clinical effect between the two groups difference has notable meaning(P<0.05).The total effective rate of the two group carries out compairison,difference has no natable meaning(P>0.05).Conclusion:(1)Both acupotomy and acupuncture can improve the function of shoulder joint,decrease joint pain and increase ROM. (2)The acupotomy therapy has a better clinical effect than acupuncture therapy in decrease joint pain and increase ROM. (3)The acupotomy therapy has a better clinical effect than acupuncture therapy in freezing period of frozen shoulder.(4) acupotomy is a good therapy for shoulder periarthritis patients for it's fast action and short course of treatment.
