A Clinical Study On Rheumatoid Arthritis Treated With Yanghe Decoction

Objective:To investigate the efficacy and safety of Yanghe Decoction on the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis of kidney-Yang deficiency and wind-cold-damp retention type.Method:60 patients were randomly divided into the treatment group and the control group, each of 30 cases. The treatment group was treated by Yanghe Decoction. And the control group took Glucosidorum Tripterygll Totorum only. All the patients were followed up for 8 weeks. Then we collected the information, established the database, compared the differences of the symptoms improvement and lab test results, and observed the adverse reaction occurrence.Results:1.Comparison of total curative effect:the treatment group is 83.3%, the control group is 80.0%. There was no difference between the treatment group and the control group(P>0.05);2.Comparison of DAS28:DAS28 had a significant improvement of the both two groups. There was no difference between the treatment group and the control group(P>0.05);3.Comparison of clinical symptoms and signs:after 8 weeks of treatment, the clinical symptoms and signs, HAQ, VAS of the treatment group were improved significantly before treatment (P<0.05). Compared to the control group, the average grip strength of both hands, 20m walking time and HAQ were improved significantly after treatment (P<0.05);4.Comparison of lab result:after 8 weeks of treatment, ESR, CRP and RF of the treatment group were improved significantly before treatment (P<0.05). Compared to the treatment group, ESR of the control group was improved significantly after treatment (P<0.05);5.Observation of adverse reaction:One patient in the treatment group appeared nausea and vomiting. Two patients in the control group appeared nausea and vomiting, one patient appeared diarrhea after 6 weeks treatment. So the treatment group and the control group both had fewer adverse reaction on the body, there was no difference between the treatment group and the control group (P>0.05)Conclusion:Yanghe Decoction on the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis can improve the clinical symptoms and signs, DAS28, ESR, CRP, RF.And has fewer adverse reactions on the body. There can be widely used in clinic.
