It's important for in-depth and comprehensive understanding of this group of diseases. This research reviewed in-patients whoes eosinophils of the peripheral blood elevated in dermatological department of the second hospital of Hebei Medical University in 2009 and analyzed the distribution of diseases among those cases. This research analyzed in-patients with peripheral blood eosinophilia in our department to revealed the distribution of eosinophilia diseases in our department in 2009 and the degree of blood eosinophilia for those diseases.Method: One year's medical files of in-patients in our department were reviewed, The standard of peripheral blood eosinophilia was set. The percentage and absolute number of peripheral blood eosinophilia were≥6% and≥0.6×109. Then those cases according to their absolute number of peripheral blood eosinophils were divided into mild (0.6-1.5×109/L), moderate (>1.5 and≤5.0×109/L), severe degree (>5.0×109/L). The cases were analyzed including which kind of disease accompanied by peripheral blood eosinophilia, what degree of blood eosinophilia for those diseases, and the possible cause. Results: In 2009, in-patients with peripheral blood eosinophilia in our department reached 67 cases, accounting for 11.9%(67/565) of patients admitted to hospital. Severe, moderate and mild cases among them, accounted for 10.4%(7/67), 40.3%(27/67) and 49.3%(33/67) respectively. In terms of certain disease, peripheral blood eosinophilia in in-patients with eczema accounted for 35.4%(17/48); erythroderma accounted for 45.8%(11/24); bullous pemphigoid accounted for 33.3%(4/12); drug eruption accouted for 15.9%(7/44). The statistical analysis showed that the percentage of peripheral blood eosinophilia of eczema, erythroderma, bullous pemphigoid, drug eruption had no difference.Conclusion:1 During 2009.1.1-2009.12.31, 67 cases of dermatological in-patients accompanied by peripheral blood eosinophilia in the Second Hospital of Hebei Medical University, mainly suffered from eczema (17/67).2 Most of in-patients accompanied by peripheral blood eosinophilia in dermatological department suffered from common and frequently-occurring disease in our department within one year-time.3 The percentage of peripheral blood eosinophilia of eczema, erythroderma, bullous pemphigoid, drug eruption had no difference among the in-patients in our department within one year-time.
