Objective: To evaluate the patients with epithelial ovarian cancer after operation receiving chemotherapy toxicity, general condition, physical symptoms, sexual psychological and emotional changes, marital relations and to seek medical help and so on. To investigate and analyse factors effecting postoperative quality of life of patients with epithelial ovarian cancer, discussing the need to improve patients'quality of life and the main measures for the patients and their families providing targeted treatment of psychological intervention and social support, while taking effective treatment methods to reduce physical symptoms, such as hormone replacement therapy (HRT), Traditional Chinese Medicine etc., so as to improve patient's quality of life.Methods: home-made questionnaire include general information, chemotherapy side effects, menopause symptoms, the age of operation and the number of patients to seek medical help effect sexual psychology of ovarian cancer patients after operation, investigation about sex of CALGB and quality of life before and after surgery compared to. Screening from January 2008 to December 2009 at the Fourth Hospital of Hebei Medical University, gynecological hospitalization in patients with epithelial ovarian cancer, 40 patients after operation 3 months or more, the age under 50 years pre-menopausal patients who have not yet carried out were researched.Results: There are many factors which affect the quality of life for patients with epithelial ovarian cancer after operation: Clinical somatic symptoms, chemotherapy side effects, psychological factors such as anxiety and depression, educational level, economic level, marital relations, clinical stage and disease recurrence, support of family and society etc. .Conclusions: There are many factors which influence postoperative quality of life of patients with epithelial ovarian cancer, it is necessary to take effective treatments to alleviate physical symptoms, such as hormone replacement therapy, Chinese medicine and so on, at the same time to carry out a targeted psychological intervention and social support treatment, patients and their spouses are simultaneous educated about health, and family supply understanding and the best possible care, increasing the patient's sense of self-esteem and being loved, to reduce patient's stress response, to significantly improve the patient's social and psychological conditions, fostering a positive mood for active treatment, the postoperative quality of life of patients with epithelial ovarian cancer will be markedly improved.
