Object:An investigatiog was conducted in order to study and compare the clinical effect of closed reduction and casting and percutaneous pinning on the patients with Gartland II supracondylar humerus fracture, to find a better treatment of supracondvlar fracture of humerus GartlandⅡapproach.Method:25 cases of GartlandⅡtype supracondylar fracture of humerus were randomly divided into closed reduction and casting group and percutaneous pinning group. In closed reduction and casting group, the radial side of the forearm was incarcerated in pronation, and the correction of the ulnar deviation was done so as to keep the normal axis of the fractured segment. The over correction of the ulnar deviation into radial deviation was preferred, and the affected limb was fixed by long-arm plaster slab.In operative reduction and internal fixation group, kirschner wire was used to fix the distal end during the surgery. All the cases were followed up for 6-12months, The therapeutic effect of typeⅡwere evaluated according to Baumann angle of measurement in the X-ray and standard of clinical effects of Flynn.Result:Through clinical research, Elbow after the appearance of two groups of patients no significant difference in functional recovery of the two approaches are the treatment of supracondylar fractures of the effective. But the two methods in treatment costs, hospital stay and healing time were significantly different. Closed reduction and cast immobilization of low cost, shorter hospital stay. Percutaneous Kirschner wire fixation for fracture healing earlier. Conclusion:The closed reduction and casting and percutaneous pinning and are all good method in the GartlandⅡsupracondylar humerus fractures in children。Closed reduction and cast immobilization of low economic cost, shorter hospital stay, percutaneous Kirschner wire fixation for fracture healing as early as you can early functional exercises.
