Objective: Study specific female OA patients under the age of arthritis and meniscal injury and associated bone marrow edema. So as to explore the pathogenesis of knee osteoarthritis, the prognosis for the knee, treatment and prevention of basic theory. Methods: Female patients with knee osteoarthritis were 30 cases, according to X-ray Kellgren-Lawrence grading standard will be divided into three degrees of knee osteoarthritis:one mild OA (KL grade 2) 6; with moderate OA (KL grade 3) in 20 cases; severe OA (KL grade 4) 4; the MRI diagnosis of bone marrow edema is divided into three levels:among 0 (no bone marrow edema) in 7 cases; a (mild bone marrow edema) 16; 2 (heavier bone marrow edema) in 7 cases; the MRI diagnosis of meniscal injury were divided into four levels:5 cases in which grade 0; 1 in 5 cases; two of 17 cases; 3 in 3 patients. Osteoarthritis of the knee with bone marrow edema, respectively sub-classification and grading for meniscus injury and spearman rank correlation analysis method kruskal-wallis rank test. Results: Knee OA grading and subchondral bone marrow edema between the Spearman correlation coefficient 0.4195, P=0.0210, statistically significant correlation coefficients suggest; knee OA grading and classification meniscus between the Spearman correlation coefficient 0.5808, P=0.0008, that Both have a high correlation, the correlation coefficient was statistically significant. kruskal-wallis rank test method show:knee OA grade levels among the three groups of BME significantly (χ2= 6.1452, P= 0.0463), with the severity of knee OA, BME has also increased the degree; knee OA grade classification meniscus between the three groups significantly (χ2= 10.6315, P= 0.0049), with the severity of knee OA, increased the degree of meniscal injury. Conclusion : Grading and osteoarthritis of the knee meniscus and bone marrow edema was a positive correlation, and there is more severe arthritis, indexing, then the meniscus and bone marrow edema in the more serious. We can judge meniscus and bone marrow edema and prognosis of the development of knee OA, while treatment of knee OA to provide some guidance.
