The Expression And Clinical Significance Of EMMPRIN And MMP-9 In Urothelial Carcinoma Of The Bladder

Objective:To evaluate the expression and significance of EMMPRIN and MMP-9 in urothelial carcinoma of the bladder. Methods:The expression of E MMPRIN and MMP-9 was detected by immunohistochemical SP methods in 40 ca-ses urothelial carcinoma of the bladder (BUC) and 10 cases normal bladder mucosa. Results:Positive expression rate of EMMPRIN in 40 cases with BUC and in 10 cases with normal bladder mucosa was 82.5% and 0%, EMMPRIN in the two tiss-ue expression had difference (P<0.05); Positive expression rate of MMP-9 in 40 cases with BUC and 10 case with normal bladder mucosa was 75% and 0%, resp-ectively, MMP-9 in the two tissue expression had significant difference (P<0.05). Positive expression rate of EMMPRIN in G1,G2,G3 of BUC was 60%(9/15),9 2.9%(13/14),100%(11/11), the expression had difference (P<0.05). Positive expres-sion rate of EMMPRIN in the stage of Tis-T1 and T2-T4 was 73.5%(14/19),90. 5%(19/21), the expression had not significant difference (P>0.05). Positive express-ion rate of MMP-9 in G1,G2,G3 of BUC was 53.3%(8/15),78.6%(11/14),100 %(11/11), the expression had difference (P<0.05). Positive expression rate of MM P-9 in the stage of Tis-T1 and T2-T4 was 57.9%(11/19),90.5%(19/21), the expr-ession had diference (P<0.05). It is positive correlation in EMMPRIN and MMP-9 (P<0.05,r=0.342). Positive expression rate of EMMPRIN in male and femal of BU C was 85.7%(24/28),75%(9/12). which had no difference (P>0.05). Positive expr-ession rate of MMP-9 in male and femal of BUC was 78.6%(22/28),66.7%(8/12), which had no difference (P>0.05). Conclusions:New protein have happened duri-ng the cancerization of bladder mucous membrane. The expression of EMMPRIN in BUC is higher, the tumor malignant degree is higher, but its expression and depth of invasion was no significant correlation, Explained that EMMPRIN participate the progress of the early BUC. With the positive expression rate of MMP-9 heightening, the malignancy degree and infiltrate depth of the tumor was increased,the effect af-ter curing was worse. The expression of EMMPRIN and MMP-9 in BUC had no difference with sex, EMMPRIN and MMP-9 possible interactions, to promote the B UC multiplication, the differentiation and the shift. Thus for the treatment and pre-vention of BUC to find a new basis for the breakthrough point.
