Objective:To investigate the marginal fit and the level of interleukin-16(IL-1β)in GCF of Ni-Cr alloy PFM with different length of shoulder porcelain in labial margins. To observe the prosthetic effects of the ceramic crowns with shoulder porcelain clinically so as to provide evidence for clinic.Methods:The anterior teeth of 36 patients chose at random were conceived the restoration of Ni-Cr alloy PFM.They were divided into 3 groups,of which per group were 12 teeth and the groups were fabricated according to the three different shoulder porcelain marginal types. Group A:the metal framework extended to the 0.3mm coronal to the axiogingival line angle of the shoulder; GroupB:the metal framework extended to the 0.5mm coronal to the axiogingival line angle of the shoulder; Group C:the metal framework extended to the 1.0mm coronal to the axiogingival line angle of the shoulder. GCF was collected from labial and lingual of mesial site and distal site before the tooth preparation and 6 months after cementation by WhatmanⅢfilter paper.The level of IL-1B was detected by ELISA method. Clinical observation indexes were recorded six months after restoration.Results:1. After 6-months clinical examination, the color diversit, gray line and marginal fit in three groups had no statistic significance (P>0.05).2.Compared to pre-restoration, the amoum of IL-1βin GCF have statistic significance in three groups after 6 months(P<0.05).3.Among the three kinds of crowns,there were no statistic significance in IL-1B level at the 6 months after cementation(P>0.05).Conclusion:After 6 months,using shoulder porcelain had good esthetics of Ni-Cr alloy PFM,The crown with three lengths of shoulder porcelain may affect the level of IL-1β.
