An increasing number of migrant children's entrance into public urban schools brings about changes in the educational environment and also some new problems. These migrant children can hardly adapt to city life due to the differences in thinking patterns, modes of behaviors, ways of communication, textbooks, languages, teaching methods, and so on. Therefore, great efforts must be put to promote communication between migrant children and urban children&teachers, and to help migrant children to adjust to the new environment. K primary school, a public school in Shanghai, receiving a considerable number of migrant students, tries various ways to enhance the social integration of those children. This thesis comprises 4 parts. The first part focuses on introducing the research background, the research significance, recent findings home or abroad, research methods and also the author's innovation. Making use of some relevant theories, the second part probes into the social integration of migrant children at K primary school. The third part discusses some tentative ways to facilitate the social integration from aspects of project research, in-class teaching, class culture, extracurricular activities, and teachers'love. The final part puts forward some further proposals to perfect the social integration of migrant children. These proposals are mainly concerning how to further raise migrant children's self-awareness, how to enhance their communicative ability, and how to conduct teacher's ethic education and social integration education.
