Objective: Systemic Study on the relationship between the gastric mucosal mast cell, its degranulation and Epidemiology, typing, clinical manifestation and curati-ve effectti-veness of gastricism ,In order to further investigate the roles of MC in thegastricism.Methods:22 healthy volunteers and 76 patients with chronic superficial gastritis(CSG), 36 patients with chronic atrophic gastritis (CAG),63patients with peptic ulcer(PU) and 34 patients with functional dyspepsia(FD)entered in this study. All cases underwent gastroscopy and two pieces of samples was biopsied from gastric antrum according to Sydney standard. Gastric mucosal mast cells were counted after immunohistochemistry staining. Pathology results were identified after HE staining. Investigate common epidemiology factors such as diet and living habit to analyze relationships between MC and etiology;according to types of gastricism, all cases were divided into different groups to study the relationships between MC and different types of gastricis;according to clinical symptoms;to analyze the relationships between MC and clinical symptoms; according totherapeutic schedules, the patients was divided into two groups,to analyse whether there is relationship between MC and curative effect.Results:(1) The study showed that MC and mast cell degradation ratio had remarkable difference among Hp infection,Smoking, alcohol drinking, heavy salt consumption,unh-ealthy diet and anxious through epidemiology study.(P<0.05) (2)The count of gastric mucosal MC and its degradation ratio significantly increased in the groups of CSG,CAG,PU,FD in contrast with healthy volunteers. (P<0.05) The count of gastric mucosal MC and its degradation ratio have no remarkable difference between stomach cancer and healthy volunteers. There is a closed correlation in mast cells and inflammation inCSG,but nothing in CAG. The number and degradation ratio of MC were significantly decreased in CAG group. The number and degradation ratio of MC Of CSG group were significantly higer than those in CAG(P<0.05).The number of gastric mucosal mast cells have no difference in PU groups, but mast cell degradation ratio in compound ulcer is remarkably higher than that in GU and DU group.(3)In the group of Belching and Abdominal Pain, number of mast cells is increased have statistics difference.(P<0.05). (4)The curative effect is better in Group of MC increasethan that in Group of MC normal , using the treatment of Mosapride and pantopriizol in patients with CSG,the effective rates of Group MC normal and Group MC increase were47.61 % and 72.72% respectively.(P<0.05)Conclusion: The cinical studies demonstrate that there is closed relationship between MC and different types gastropathic as same as MC and clinical manifestation. It offered an evidence for criterion and drug selection of clinical pathogenetic condition.
