Inhibition Effects Of Single Chinese Herbs On Helicobacter Pylori In Mice

Objective: Establish the mice mould of Helicobacter pylori infection(SS1 units with BALB/c) to study the five single Chinese herbs goldthread, Scutellaria baicalensis,Chinese rhubarb, corydalis tuber, Callicarpa water ecoction efficacy of treatment of Helicobacter pylori, in order to screen out the high rate of single chinese herbs, Provide the basis for the treatment of Helicobacter pylori infectionMethods: Separated the mice into seven groups with 25 mice of each,and treated with normal saline (matched group),goldthread, Scutellaria baicalensis,Chinese rhubarb, corydalis tuber, Callicarpa water ecoction and amoxicillin(positive control group),each mouse were administered with 0.4ml bacteria once three days, a total of four times, eight mices were killed after eight weeks of the last administered bacteria , confirm ed that eight mice infected with Helicobacter pylori,and separately feed medicine with two weeks .After another four weeks interval with normal feeding mice were killed.Detection of H.pylori infection in gastric mucosa of mice were performed with Giemsa staining,speed urase and H.plori separation.Results: 1,Cultured successfully SS1 strain, and confirmed by speed urase and Gram stain. 2,Gastric mucosa Giemsa of eight mice killded respectively with Giemsa staining,speed urase and H.plori separation are seen H. pylori colonization, indicating successful model in mice.3,Killed all the mice after stopping medicine four weeks,and determined gastric mucosal colonized by Helicobacter pylori,finally the Helicobacter pylori eradication rate is :matched group the eradication of H.pylori was 20%; and in the experiments, the eradication rate of goldthread,Scutellaria baicalensis,rheum officinale was 76%, 64%, and 68%;while the eradication rate of corydalis tuber and Callicarpa was 28% and 36%.In the western medicine amoxicillin group, eradication rate was 80%.4,The difference between goldthr,Scutellaria baicalensis,rheum officinale ,amoxicillin and normal saline was obvious p<0.05);while difference between the corydalis tuber,Callicarpa and the matched group was not obvious (p>0.05).Conclusions : In the five single Chinese medicine, goldthread, Scutellaria baicalensie, rheum officinale have a strong effect of treating H.pylori ; while corydalis tuber and Callicarpa have a week effect.
