Cerebral palsy (CP) is caused by variety of reasons within one month before or after birth, due to non-progressive brain damage. Mainly as a central movement disorders, and abnormal postures.CP may be accompanied by mental retardation, epilepsy, language, perception and mental abnormalities abnormal behavior. In recent years, with the development of technology to improve obstetric and neonatal intensive care unit of the establishment and first-aid children critically ill patients, the level of perinatal mortality raises, but t the prevalence of children with cerebral palsy was increased, the rate between 2.7‰-5‰. recently the early diagnosis and treatment of cerebral palsy has made tremendous progress, but evaluation of treatment remains controversial, makes it difficult to evaluate.Current assessment studies of cerebral palsy in China uses Fine Motor Function Measure (FMFM) as a tool, which has computer software to enable the assessment of cerebral palsy to reach intelligent levels so that people more in-depth known of cerebral palsy. Promote the use of the introduction of FMFM and the development the use of cerebral palsy in China will play an important role in promoting cerebral palsy study. Objective:To improve FMFM is a scientific, simple, quantitative assessment tools in evaluation of children with cerebral palsy. Methods:a random collection of 45 cases of hospitalized children with cerebral palsy were divided into three groups (experimental group A, the experimental group B, experimental group C),15 cases a group; 19 cases of normal children as a healthy control group. The hospital received 45 cases of children with conventional therapy (Chinese and Western medicine combined treatment mode). All 45 cases of children in the hospital prior to and use of FMFM for evaluation prior to discharge, the project plans, and a scientific and rational assessment. The experimental group A:3 months of a course of treatment, the FMFM pre-hospital results of the assessment input data and analysis in the computer, Speculated that the specific energy region for the next one treatment goals, combined with clinical experience in finishing the program and integrate into the conventional treatment of the formation of individual models; experimental group B:1 month as a course of the treatment, which with the same as experimental group A; experimental group C children:3 months as a course of treatment, using conventional integrated treatment programs, FMFM assessment only as a tool, not to influence the treatment. Control group test 2 FMFM evaluations in 3 moths. Results: 1. children with cerebral palsy FMFM for the first time measurements compared to Healthy control group, FMFM measurements were significantly lower (P<0.05).2. Experimental group and control group in each group of two FMFM measurements, the change in the amount of the differences were significant (P<0.05). Show that FMFM can reflect the fine motor functional status changes over time.3. Experimental group A with the experimental group B with two measurements of the changes in FMFM total score to compare the amount of the experimental group A with more obvious changes in FMFM total score (P<0.05). Shows FMFM can reflect the length of the treatment regimen for children with fine motor function of the cerebral palsy condition.4. Experimental group A with the experimental group C with two measurements of the changes in FMFM total score to compare the amount of the experimental group A in children with more obvious changes in FMFM total score (P<0.05). Shows FMFM has a good clinical significance. Conclusion:FMFM is easily to use, without special facilities, time-consuming short, simple calculation, data processing is easy. It may have these functions:1,reflect the fine motor functional status changes over time.2,reflect the length of the treatment regimen for children with fine motor function of the cerebral palsy condition.3,has a good clinical significance.4,evaluate the effect of treatment. In these research,FMFM assessment lack of samples, suggesting that FMFM need to test large sample datas and analysis of its significance to prove its effect.
