Objective To evaluate the feasibility of surgery combined with chemotherapy in treating multidrug-resistant pulmonary tuberculosis (MDR-PTB)Methods To choose the 224 MDR-TB patients who had receivedtreatment from January,2006 to Febuary,2009.in Hunan Province Tuberculosis Disease Hospital, divide 224 patients to 3 groups; A group (109cases,had surgery combined chemotherapy).B group (32cases,with surgical indication, not receive operation but receive chemotherapy),C group (83cases, without surgical indication, had chemotherapy)Observe the change of the market absorption, the sputum conversion in the three groups after the treatment and analysis the postoperative complications occurredResults There was significiant difference on the rats of sputum culture negative conversion.in the A group and B,C groups, the A group 88.07%(96/109) and B group 78.12%(25/32),C group 77.11%(64/83) (P<0.05),There were all significant differences on the rates of X-ray absorbing between the A group 81.65%(89/109) and B,C groups 71.88%(23/32),69.88%(58/83) (p<0.05), The Mortality was 1.83%(n=2) after surgery,The total rate of postoperative complications was 15.58%(17/109).In addition it was 5.9%,24.14%,61.53% in 2-drug resistance team,3-drug resistance team and 3-more drug resistance teamConclusions 1. surgery can heightening the bacterium in phlegm turning negative tate2. It can increase the rate of focus absorbing though the surgery combined with chemotherapy.3. The drug resistant was closely relate to occurrence of the postoperative complications, the more drug resistant bring the higher rate of postoperative...
