Objective:So far adiponectin (APN) is a cell factor which is only found negatively correlated with fat. Through its receptor adjusting endothelial function, immune function, glucolipid metabolism, resistance to insulin resistance and atherosclerosis, and playing an important role in the progress in metabolic disease, APN is a protect factor to the human body.Thyroid hormone is an important class of endocrine hormone to adjust the growth and metabolism of body, including three triiodothyronine (T3) and four triiodothyronine (T4) two physiological activity type. Thyroid hormones is only 1% of content by the free state in the bloodstream, namely FT3 and FT4, but it is the main part of the realization of the biological effect of thyroid hormone, in high sensitivity and specificity, having high diagnostic significance in the clinical.Thyroid dysfunction is not only caused by blood fat, blood glucose, blood pressure and weight change, but also will influence hypothalamus-pituitary-thyroid gland-axis,and according to relevant reports in the literature because of thyroid dysfunction with adipose tissue changing, so adiponectin which is secreted by adipose tissue may suffer the effect of thyroid different function. But now there have a few study on if there were some correlation in serum adiponectin and free thyroid hormone for a healthy crowd, we applied some material by some regional health examinations, exploring if there were some relationship in serum adiponectin and metabolic indices and free thyroid hormone, to prevent and control the occurrence and development of metabolic disease may provide a forecasting index. Methods:A total of 794 adult inhabitants were asked to fulfill the questionnaire, accepted physical examination, drawn vein blood. The sera were measured for serum adiponectin(APN), free triiodothyronine (FT3), free thyroxine (FT4), thyroid stimulating hormone(TSH), fasting plasma glucose (FPG), fasting insulin (FINS), total-cholesterol(TC), triglycerid (TG) HDL-cholesterol(HDL-C) and do OGTT test, measurement 2-hr plasma glucose. Homeostasis model assessment for insulin resistance (HOMA-IR) was cauculated as fasting insulin times fasting glucose divided by 22.5.Body mass index (BMI) was calculated as the ratio between weight and height squared (kg/m2). Waist-hip ratio= waist/hip circumference. Results:1. lnAPN is grouping accord to gender, data show that women than men (P< 0.001), the comparison between men and women in same age group(30-,40-), showed the two group has statistically significant difference, women than men(P< 0.05), the comparison in the different age in same gender is different (P< 0.001, P= 0.002), including lnAPN average concentration in (30-,40-50-) is below in (20-).2. Compared with the normal group, lnAPN in the high level group of TG, FPG,2hPG, BMI, WHR is lower (P< 0.05), compared with the normal group, in the low level group of HDL-C, insulin resistance groups is lower (P< 0.05),and there has no statistically significant difference in the different level of blood pressure and TC.3, Serum APN with TG,2hPG, BMI, FPG, WHR, HOMA-IR, SBP, FT3, FT4 is negatively correlated, with HDL-C is positively correlated, after adjusting gender and age, except SBP with relevance of APN disappear, the others still related to APN, APN with TSH, TC and DBP without obvious correlation.4, In a simple lineral regression, the result shows that:lnAPN with lnFT3, lnFT4 is negative linearal trend (beta=-0.606 P< 0.001, beta=-0.454 P= 0.001), preliminary we consider that FT3 and FT4 are probably influence factors to APN.5, In multiple linearal regression analysis, the result indicates that:After the other influencing factors were correction, APN is independently associated with gender, age, BMI TG, HOMA-IR. APN has significantly gender difference, the average concentration change of lnAPN in men is lower than women, lnAPN exists difference in age, and compared with (50-), the average concentration change of lnAPN in (20-) is higher, and the average concentration change of lnAPN in (30-) is reduced, obesity, high blood triglyceride, overweight, insulin resistance are independent influencing factors to reduce to adiponectin. FT3 and FT4 is not significantly influenced factors to APN.Conclusion:1, APN is independently associated with gender, age, BMI, TG, HOMA-IR.2, APN has significantly gender difference, the average concentration change of lnAPN in men is lower than women. lnAPN exists difference in age, and compared with (50-), the average concentration change of lnAPN in (20-) is higher, and the average concentration change of lnAPN in (30-) is reduced.3, Obesity, high blood triglyceride, overweight, insulin resistance are independent influencing factors to reduce to adiponectin.4, FT3 and FT4 is not significantly influenced factors to APN.
