Objective:To investigate the effect of Huangqichonglougushen Prescription on Expression of proteinuria , MMP-9 in rats'renal tissues and pathological process with membranous nephropathy, and to illustrate the mechanism of the treatment on membranous nephropathy with Huangqichonglougushen Prescription .Methods:The membranous nephropathy rats model was set up with Border method by injecting cationic poly-acryl bovine serum albumin (C-BAS) . The rats were divided into five groups. Including blank control group, model control group, tripterygium wilfordii control group, high-dose-HQCLGS group,low- dose-HQCLGS groups. we have been watching serum creatinine, blood urea nitrogen, 24-hour urinary protein quantitation, serum albumin variations for eight weeks, and detecting pathological process with electron microscope,MMP-9 expression of renal tissues by using immunohistochemical method.Results:Huangqichonglougushen Prescription can reduce edema,decrease 24-hour urinary protein quantitation, improve condition of the experimental rats'glomerular basement membrane. This prescription also can obviously reduce MMP-9 expression in experimental rats, compared with model group statistical significance (P < 0.05).Conclusion:Huangqichonglougushen Prescription may decrease 24-hour urinary protein quantitation, to delay membranous nephropathy development. And improve renal pathological damage, and cut the MMP-9 expression level of renal tissues of experimental rats. Thus, It can reduce the sedimentation of ECM , recover filtration function, result in treating membranous nephropathy.
