| Objective: By analyzing the admitted 86 gastric cancer patients with initial treatment after the basic conditions from Shandong Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital and Rizhao Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital,investigate the prognostic factors related to long-term survival of gastric cancer patients who underwent radical gastrectomy, as well as the role of Chinese medicine in the treatment of gastric cancer ,to identify problems and to provide experience in chosing reasonable treatment for clinical individualized study.Methods: From the patients'clinical data and follow-up data, choose to study a number of observed indicators for each of the observation target assignment to quantify all the data entered into the computer, SPSS16.0 software was employed for statistical analysis. First, with the Kaplan-Meier method (Kaplan-Meier method) draw disease progression (TTP) and survival curves (OS), and then applicate the clinical parameters Log-Rank test (Log-Rank test) for univariate analysis, analysis of various factors on the survival of the impact, and identify the role played by Chinese medicine in the treatment of gastric cancer, finally applicate the COX proportional hazard model multivariate regression analysis to identify independent factors affecting the prognosis of the patients.Results: Univariate analysis showed that age, anemia or not before operation, level of the preoperative platelet, tumor size, invasion degree,extent of lymph-metastasis, tumor TNM stage, ways of treatment, length of time of taking traditional Chinese medicine decoction and level of postoperative CEA were correlated with postoperative survival(P<0.05). But multivariate analysis revealed that only age, anemia or not before operation, level of the preoperative platelet, invasion degree,extent of lymph-metastasis, ways of treatment, length of time of taking traditional Chinese medicine decoction and level of postoperative CEA were independent prognostic factors for gastric cancer(P<0.05). Patients with gastric cancer who accepted combination of west medicine and TCM treatment and took traditional Chinese medicine decoction time greater than 18 months benefit more.Conclusion: Combination of Chinese and Western medicine treatment received more than a simple Western medical treatment in long survival time and long-term survival. So combination of Chinese and Western medicine in treatment of gastric cancer is the trend of clinical treatment development in future. |
