PART? Effects of radiotherapy after radical resection of the gallbladderObjective: To investigate the effects of radiotherapy after radical resection of Navin Stage II or III carcinoma of the gallbladder. Methods: Forty-seven patients with Navin Stage II or III carcinoma of gallbladder admitted to our hospital from 2011 to 2016 were assigned to the group including 28 patients not receiving postoperative adjuvant therapy(NT group),or the group receiving postoperative adjuvant radiotherapy(RT group);the two groups were compared for patients' overall survival rate and disease-free survival. Results: There was statistically significant difference between the two groups in postoperative disease-free survival(p=0.033);while there was no statistically significant difference between the two groups in postoperative overall survival rate(P=0.186),the median survival was longer in the RT group(18.4 months)than in the NT group(13.8 months). Conclusion: Adjuvant radiotherapy after radical resection has positive effects on the long-term prognosis of patients with Stage II or III carcinoma of the gallbladder.PART ?Objective: To study the clinical efficacy and long-term survival of patients with TNM stage IV gallbladder carcinoma(carcinoma of the gallbladder.)After adjuvant palliative resection of gallbladder carcinoma.METHODS: A retrospective investigation and study method was used to collect 80 cases of gallbladder cancer patients undergoing radical surgery in our hospital from 2008 to 2016.TNM stage IV patients had a total of 40 cases, among which 13 cases did not receive adjuvant therapy(NT group).Twenty-seven patients(CT group)were treated with adjuvant chemotherapy after radiotherapy. The long-term survival rate and progression-free survival of the patients in the two groups were compared.Clinical efficacy of adjuvant radiotherapy and chemotherapy after gallbladder cancer was studied. Results: The overall survival time of patients with advanced gallbladder carcinoma was short. The imaging and biopsy results confirmed the progression of the tumor. The average progression-free survival time of patients who did not receive treatment after gallbladder cancer palliative resection was 4.7 months. The patients received comprehensive treatment. The progression-free survival time was 7.1 months. The two groups had statistically significant PFS time(P=0.002).All 40 patients died of the telephone follow-up.The median survival time was 9.1 months. The median survival time was 10.3 months in the CT group and 7.5 months in the NT group. The overall survival rate was statistically significant in both groups.= 0.003.Conclusion: For patients with advanced gallbladder carcinoma, the risk of extended resection is higher, postoperative complications are more often, and R0 resection may not be completely achieved.Postoperative adjuvant therapy can significantly improve the survival and progression-free survival of patients.benefit from it.
