Introduction: Material metabolism and energy metabolism are the foundation of organic tissues functional activity, and motor ability is the concentrated expression of body functional activity. Motor ability can divide into aerobics and anaerobics according to dissimilar energy supply way. Whereas oxygen energy supply capacity is the base, meanwhile one of athletes'important and basic performance abilities. Evaluating athletes'aerobic capacity with multiple parameters and disciplines accords with the principle of energy metabolism and human movement science, is also foreign swim researchers'trend and emphasis. Because of competitiveness and long-term training of swim, it is necessary to research senior swimmers'aerobic capacity especially maximal oxygen consumption (VO2max).Objective: Test Shanghai swimming team senior members'VO2max, hope to combine multiple parameters of physiology, biochemistry and biomechanics, evaluate senior swimmers'aerobic capacity scientifically. Aim at offering beneficial reference and support, providing good service for senior swimmers'training practice.Method: The first group: Shanghai swimming team 23 second line members(11 males,12 females) and the second group:4 first line members(2 males,2 females) were enrolled as subjects. They all underwent the flume swimming test. We obtained parameters, such as VO2max, lactic acid, heart rate, stroke rate, time, speed and so on. The first group underwent one test, while the second group did twice with a 4 months interval. We analysed testing indicators synthetically, evaluated swimmers'aerobic capacity. Results: With the synthetical analysis of multiple parameters, the first group was evaluated and classificated into 3 levels as good, moderate and bad in accordance with gender. Comparing the second group's test results, generally the second test result was better than the first result. But there were different expressions in VO2max, lactic acid, heart rate, stroke rate, time, speed etc. The differences of testing results reflect the representation and promotion of swimmers'aerobic capacity, can evaluate swimmers'training effect, assess training ways and methods.Conclusions:1 To the senior swimming athletes'maximal oxygen consumption capacity evaluation,it has some limitations to simply applicate finish time, heart rate, lactic acid or relative maximal oxygen consumption indicator as evaluation factor. This research increased stroke rate indicator and technical analysis, established the evaluation way accord with senior athletes individuality characteristic. This application of multi-parameter mode enhanced the effectiveness and scientificity of senior swimming aerobic capacity evaluation.2 This research comparativly analyse two experiments experienced athletes'data including increase of finish time, raise of lactic acid clearance, improvement of relative maximal oxygen consumption, enhancement of starting velocity and reduction of stroke rate. It showed that athletes'aerobic capacity were obviously improved, coaches'aerobic training mode was correct and suitable in this phase, sports training achieved good effect.
