Objective: To approach the influence of the reconstruction of femoral offset after artificial hip replacement to the Harris hip score and the range-of-motion of hip and the recovery of the hip abductor strength.Methods: To follow-up 48 examples were only one side made artificial hip repla- cement from 2007.6 to2010.9 in Affiliated Hosptial of Shangdong University of TCM.The range of follow-up time was from 6 months to 38 months(means=9.6months).The femoral offset,the neck shaft angle,the diameter of the femoral head,the abductor lever arm were measured from hip positive side X-ray films before operation. We took the X-ray films of hip positive side after operation to measure the femoral offset and contrast with the health side.When follow-up we evaluated the range of motion of hip,abduction strength and hip harris score of the operated hip .Statistics data were performed by SPSS 17.0 software.Result:Simple correlation analysis showed that FO correlated with the length of the abductor lever arm(r=0.985,P<0.01),Femoral offset was negatively correlated neck-shaft angle(r=-0.948,P<0.01), Femoral offset was positively correlated wth femoral head diameter(r=0.989, P<0.01).The value of Harris hip score was related to the reconstruction of femoral offset whether or not (r=11.17, P<0.01),The harris score,range of motion of hip,hip abduction strength in construction group were better than those of no construction group(P<0.05).Conclusion: The reconstruction of femoral offset after the artificial hip replacement of the femoral neck fracture can improve the recovery of hip funtion , effect the rang-of-motion of hip,help the recovery of abduction strength.
