| Objective: To study the treatmen esults between PVP and PKP in OVCF, and for clinical provides guidance. Methods: According to the criteria and principle, 40 patients was selected in Affiliated Hospital of Shandong University of Traditional Chinese Medicine from August 2009 to August 2010. And there are 20 cases with PVP treatment and 20 cases with PKP. All patients were noted by VAS rating scale, JOA with low back pain scale, and Cobb angle changes before surgery and after operation in l days,1 month,3 months,6 months respectively. The treatment results of OVCF with two methods were statistical analysed and complications were recorded randomly. Results: All patients were significantly reduce postoperative pain or disappear surgery after. PVP and PKP compared, the injured vertebral after surgery and the height of adjacent verbral, the dieffiences of Cobb angle has a significant statistical significance (P<0.05). Conclusion: Both PVP and PKP are reliable treatments in OVCF, which can relieve pain quickly and effectively and make the vertebral body stable. They can avoid the complications of long-term bed, which have the tiny surgical trauma and the less serious complications. Compared to the patients of PVP,the patientstreated with PKP showed more sati sfactory results of improvement of vertebral body and disc height,the spinal function,spinal kyphosis and displayed lower incidence of cement leakage, but PVP hospital espenses low.
