Clinical And Experimental Study On Treatment Of Knee Osteoarthritis By BuShenHuoXue Formula

Objective:Under the guidance of the theory of Traditional Chinese Medicine,via clinical study and experimental,this paper is to observe the clinical curative effect of the treatment on postmenopausal knee osteoarthritis(KOA) by the BuShenHuoXue Formula and discuss its possible mechanism of action.Method: The clinical cases were collected and divided into group of TCM (by the BuShenHuoXue Formula) and group Celeboxib randomly. Every group had 30 cases respective,which would be treated 8 weeks respectively.When the treatments were accomplished,we evaluated their clinical curative effect,the changes of main symptoms and signs and the Chinese physician symptom.Experimental study, 8-week-old SD rats were randomly divided into two groups, group of five Chinese and western medicine group 3. Experimental study : Different concentrations of Chinese herb medicine can reduce the content of MMP-1, inhibition increased with the concentration increased, compared with the control group there was significant difference (P <0.05), celecoxib group containing serum MMP-1 group lower levels is not obvious, compared with the control group no significant difference (P> 0.05); in addition to 5% of the drug containing serum and serum containing celecoxib significantly reduced the two groups could not the content of MMP-3, the other three groups of Chinese medicine containing serum MMP-3 can reduce the content of inhibition increased with the concentration increased, compared with the control group there was significant difference (P<0.05); different concentrations of traditional Chinese medicine containing serum and serum containing celecoxib can reduced MMP-13 levels, with the control group were significantly different (P<0.05); different concentrations of Chinese herb medicine and Celebrex containing serum were not significantly reduced TIMP-1 levels, compared with control group were There was no significant difference (P> 0.05).Conclusion: Clinical studies have shown that Celebrex's effects on pain relief is better, and improve joint function and improve health in TCM's better. Experimental studies have shown that BHD can inhibit matrix metalloproteinase-side MMP-1, MMP-3, MMP-13 production, inhibit the destruction of cartilage matrix, thus reducing the degradation and destruction of articular cartilage. Therefore, the kidney and Activating Blood on the articular cartilage plays a role in the protection and restoration, and thus have a preventive role in OA.
