Objective:To explore the influence of exposure to mix-benzene on blood system and lipid peroxidation. First, a systematic review to relative references was executed to know and analyze the influence of mix-benzene on mix-benzene exposed workers'blood system and lipid peroxidation in order to provide more information; Second, an investigation was executed in Qingpu District to observe the changes of indexes, such as hemoglobin, white blood cells, platelets index, meanwhile, the changes of SOD, GSH-Px and MDA were observed to know wheather they could be used as the early sensitive indexes to indicate the hazards of mix-benzene, which could reduce the damage caused by mix-benzene for individuals,families and the social in early.Methods:1. Systematic reviewLiteratures relating to the influence of mix-benzene on blood system and lipid peroxidation in differente areas were looked up in wanfang database and CNKI from 2000 to 2010. According to the opt-in standard, we selected the useful information and listed a summary.2. Cross-section studyThis study was executed in Qingpu District, the enterprises were stratificated through the database of historical survillances.450 respondents were drawn by stratified cluster sampling. After knowing the background of the study, the respondents anwered the questionnaires designed by us, their blood samples were tested. The data were doubly input to an Epidata database by two persons to ensure the accuracy. All the analyses were executed by SPSS 15.0. Frequencies were used to describe the basic information.T-tests were used to compare the means of ages and working years within different density groups;χ2 tests were used to compare the rates of sex, awareness, ways of acquiring relating knowledge, satisfactory, and so on. Simple factor logistic regression and multi-factor logistic regression were used to explore the influence of sex, age,working years, and so on. Results1. Results of s ystematic review29 references which demonstrated the influence of mix-benzene on people's blood ststem were selected in this study.The number of references which concluded that the WBC,RBC,HB,PLT in the exposed group was lower than that of the control group were respectively 16,2,5,6.12 references which demonstrated the influence of mix-benzene on people's lipid peroxidation were selected in this study.The number of references which concluded that there was significant difference in SOD, MDA, GSH-Px between the exposed group and the control group were respectively 12,5,3.2. Results of cross-section450 people answered the questionnaires, and their blood was tested. There was statistical significance in sex, age, working years in the three groups. Also, there was statistical significance in marriage and educational level of the control group.The mean number of RBC in high concentration group was 5.03×1012/L, while it was 4.75×1012/L in low concentration group, and 5.10×1012/L in the control group; The mean number of PLT in high concentration group was 193.95×1010/L, while it was 194.39×1010/L in low concentration group, and 201.78×1010/L in the control group; The mean number of WBC in high concentration group was 6.91×109/L, while it was 7.30×109/L in low concentration group, and 6.99×109/L in the control group; The mean concentration of HB in high concentration group was 144.61×109/L, while it was 141.66×109/L in low concentration group, and 145.23×109/L in the control group; Logistic regression analysis of single factor, women abnormal rate (red 16.3% higher than male (7.3) obvious); "Old group 30-39" red (12.6%) higher than the abnormal rate more than 29 "group"; "Old group 40~" abnormal rate (higher) red significantly higher than "acuities 29" group, along with the increase of age abnormal rate also increase; red Single factor analysis results show that between the female and the male red significantly abnormal rate; (P= 0.004, OR = 2.49 by,95%CI:135~4.62); Age group also has significant difference between red, with increasing age abnormal rate significantly increased, single factor analysis found no seniority, contact factors such as different concentrations are statistically contact group. There was no statistical significance respectively in the abnormal rate of RBC, WBC, PLT and HB between the exposed group and control group. While there was statistical significance respectively in the abnormal rate of SOD, MDA, GSH-Px between the exposed group and control group. The primary results of our study were consistant with the results of the systematic review. The three serum indexes could be used as the sensitive indexes which changed earlier than the blood system. In addition, SOD, MDA, GSH-Px could be used to predict the mix-benzene exposed workers'adaptive change and compensatory response in early, The three serum indexes could provide a new way or theoretical evidences to diagnose, treat and prevent the disease caused by mix-benzene.
