In this paper we report one case of giant fibroadenoma during pregnancy through the clinical appearance, radiology manifestation, pathological feature and immunohistochemical staining. And we review the literature and explore the clinical and pathological feature of fibroadenoma in pregnancy. The patient is a 32 year-old woman who discovered a mass of left breast in early stage of pregnancy. The mass is growing fast during gestation. The whole left breast is about 25 cm x 25 cm x 20cm in size with the lower skin of the breast appears cyanosis and ulceration can be seen on the nipple. Then the patient is gone under the abdominal delivery under local anesthesia and then received simple mammectomy of left breast under general anesthesia in her 34th week of pregnancy. The left breast is occupied by the mass with integrate envelope and abundant blood supply, while breast tissue is highly compressed. Pathological conclusion:giant fibroadenoma of left breast, epithelial cells and mesenchymal cells can be found actively proliferation. Giant fibroadenoma in pregnancy is rare, and it needs to be distinguished with benign or malignant tumor in pregnancy such as lactating adenoma, breast cancer and cystosarcoma phylloides. One must pay attention to the breast mass which is discovered before or during the gestation and visit the doctor to seek further treatment as soon as possible.
