The Study On Condyle Position Of Malocclusion And The Curative Effect Of The Splint

Objective:To discuss the scientificalness and practical applicability of the measuring the condyle position with articulator and MCD(Measures Condyle Displacement), probe the curative effect of the splint. To accumulate the case of treatment with the splint.Method:Two manipulators received similar instruction for centric relation (CR) records technique. A delay wax registration was taken to obtain the clinically captured CR position. Measure the condyle position with the measures condyle displacement in 3D direction. By making use of the splint, we can inspect the change of the position.Result:1,There are not statistical different between two manipulator ( P>0.05).There is high repeatability on the position of CR.2,There are not statistical different between before and after the use of the splint. (P<0.001)There is change after using the splint in the occlusion.Conclusion:1,The condyle position of CR is anatomically determined; it is repeatable and reproducible.We can consider it to be the essence of optimal temporomandibular joint form and function.It is the most reliable reference point for accurately recording the relationship of the mandible to the maxilla.We can inspect the occlusion change in CR with articulator.2,After the use of the splint, the dental-arch spatial relations and condylar position have incorporated neuromuscular deprogramming might give the clinician a more accurate representation of the 3D dental interarch and condyle position spatial relationships as a result of more complete condylar seating. The splint is a diagnostic step.
