Objective:To detect the expression of EGFR signaling pathway related protein (EGFR,c-fos and Cerb-B2) in esophageal squamous carcinoma and investigate their relationships and clinical significance; Provide some theoretical basis for molecular targeted therapy of EGFR signaling pathway in esophageal squamous carcinoma. Methods:Two-step immunohistochemical method(Beijing Zhongshan Golden Bridge Biotechnology Co, Ltd) was applicated to detect the expression of EGFR,c-fos and Cerb-B2 in fiber esophagoscopy specimens of 60 cases with esophageal squamous carcinoma.Results:1.Expression of EGFR in esophageal squamous carcinoma:The positive rates of EGFR in esophageal squamous carcinoma was73.3%(44/60).The positive expression of EGFR in esophageal squamous carcinoma was significantly related to TNM stage,lymph node metastasis and distant metastasis (P<0.05),but not to gender,age, T stage(P>0.05).The lever of positive expression of EGFR was significantly related to lymph node metastasis(P<0.05).2.Expression of c-fos in esophageal squamous carcinoma:The positive rates of c-fos in esophageal squamous carcinoma was 85%(51/60). The positive expression of c-fos in esophageal squamous carcinoma was not significantly related to gender,age, T stage,TNM stage,lymph node metastasis and distant metastasis(P>0.05). The lever of positive expression of c-fos was significantly related to T stage and TNM stage, (P<0.05).3.Expression of Cerb-B2 in esophageal squamous carcinoma:The positive rates of Cerb-B2 in esophageal squamous carcinoma was 75%(45/60). The positive expression of Cerb-B2 in esophageal squamous carcinoma was significantly related to T stage (P<0.05) but not to gender,age, TNM stage,lymph node metastasis and distant metastasis (P>0.05). The lever of positive expression of Cerb-B2 was not significantly related to gender,age, T stage ,TNM tage,lymph node metastasis and distant metastasis (P>0.05). 4.The correlation between the expression of EGFR,c-fos,Cerb-B2: The expression of EGFR showed a correlation with c-fos (P<0.05)but not correlated to Cerb-B2(P>0.05). The expression of c-fos showed a correlation with Cerb-B2 (P<0.05) .Conclusion:1.The overexpressions of EGFR,c-fos,Cerb-B2 were related to the tumorgenesis and development of esophageal squamous carcinoma ..2.We can estimate esophageal squamous carcinoma's staging by the expression of EGFR,c-fos, estimate esophageal squamous carcinoma's primary tumor by the expression of c-fos,Cerb-B2.The expression of EGFR,c-fos,Cerb-B2 in esophageal squamous carcinoma provide some theory basis for targeted therapy .3. The expression of EGFR howed a correlation with c-fos.The expression of c-fos has a correlation with Cerb-B2.EGFR, c-fos and Cerb-B2 can be used as combining indicator for prognosis of esophageal squamous carcinoma ..Therefore, EGFR, c-fos, Cerb-B2 has a greater significance for the treatment of esophageal squamous carcinoma,and because they are associated with the EGFR signaling pathway, it also can be applied to guide the signal transduction inhibitor of EGFR targeted therapy .
