Objective: To study the correlation of the expression of eyclooxygenase-2, epidermal growth factor receptor and p16 in the esophageal carcinoma.Eyclooxygenase-2, COX-2: eyclooxygenase-2 is a kind of rate-limiting enzyme which catalyzes biosynthesis of prostaglandin (PG). COX-2 can not detect in the general normal tissue. COX-2 gene dose not express n the general normal tissue in common. Only when there are stimulatory function exterior and interior cellular the gene starts to its expression. For example epidermal growth factor, cytokine, carcinogenic promoting agent al et. The high expression of COX-2 could lead to increase the content of prostaglandin E-2, which could participate to development and aversion of the tumor.Epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) belongs to oncogene of growth factor. EGFR is a kind of transmembrane glucoprotein which has activity of protein tyrosine kinase who bindings its ligand transforming growth factor-2 (TGF-2) activates the signal conduct system, stimulates cell growth and generation. By immunohistochemical staining over expression of EGFR is about 58% in the esophageal carcinoma, which...
