| Objective:This subject is to appraise the clinical curative effect and laboratory parameters and the security of treating primary osteoporosis (syndrome of deficiencyof both liver and kidney)with Zhuang gu zhen tong CapsuleMethods:60 patients of low back pain were randomly divided into treatment group and matched group, the treatment group is treated with Zhuang gu zhen tong-Capsule, matched group is simply treated with salmon calcitonin. The period of treatment of both groups was two month. Before and after the treatment, All of the objective sign change data,such as the pain(VAS score), BMD, symptoms, laboratory parameters and Medication safety were observed for the analysis.Results:After two months treatmenting, most of thether-apeutic indexes in the treatment group were significantly different from those before the treatment, thus there was statistical difference (P<0.05).But between the two gro-ups, There was no significant difference between the treatment group and the control group (P>0.05), suggesting that Zhuang gu zhen tong -Capsule capsules has the advantage value as the same as salmon calcitonin in treating OP. In addition, the total points of improvement in the syndrome of TCM were obviously superior to the control group.Conclusion:Zhuang gu zhen tong Capsule capsule is a safe and effective new medicine of TCM in treating OP, with any toxicaland side effect.
