This paper researches an analysis method to monitor the status of an X-ray tube with rotating anode based on vibration signals analysis. The features were found and dealt with through the analysis of vibration signals detected by accelerometer and high resolution data acquisition card in time domain, frequency domain and time-frequency domain via the NI LabView Visual Instrument Development Platform. This is a new approach to detect the start-up, running and breaking period of X-ray tube with rotating anode. According to the above result, the paper researches an analysis method of X-ray tube vibration signal feature as an emphases based on analysis in time-frequency domain. This method provides program of vibration signal STFT by making use of the fundamental of the STFT and signal processing tools of LabView. Experiments prove this method is the same with monitoring vibration signal frequency of the X-ray tube varying with time in working condition, and provides an effective approach to monitor the working status of X-ray tube.
