| ObjectiveTo explore the value of Tei index measured by tissue Doppler in the assessment of the allomeric function of left ventricle (LV), and provide credible evidences to take precautions and diagnose the damage of the left ventricular for cor pulmonale in the early period.MethodsTotally 30 healthy individuals and 60 cor pulmonale patients were studied using a standard commercial ultrasound machine (Philips IE33). The E.A.E/A through the bicuspid valve; the EF, FS in the cross-section of four cavity apex cordis examined by simpson; to measure the parameter of ICT, IRT and ET, and to calculate the Tei index of left ventricles. A possible correlation was examined for Tei index of cor pulmonale patients and EF, E/A.ResultsThe Tei index, IRT and E of cor pulmonale and Decompensatory cor pulmonale patients are higher than the healthy individuals; A, E/A are lower than the healthy individuals (P<0.05). The differences have values in statistics. The ICT of the Decompensatory Cor pulmonale patients is higher than the healthy individuals (P<0.05), ET, EF, FS are lower than the healthy individuals. The differences have values in statistics. ET, EF, FS of the Decompensatory cor pulmonale patients are all minished, ICT is higher than cor pulmonale(P<0.05). The differences have values in statistics. There is no significant difference between Decompensatory cor pulmonale patients and cor pulmonale patients in E/A, IRT (P<0.05). The differences have no value in statistics. The correlative analysis shows there is negative correlation between Decompensatory cor pulmonale patients and cor pulmonale patients in Tei index and EF, E/A.ConclusionsCor pulmonale patients are mostly the damage of diatolic function with slight change of systolic function. The systolic function and diatolic function are all reduced in Decompensatory cor pulmonale patients. There is significant correlation between Tei index and traditional index such as EF, E/A.Tei index could integratively evaluate LV function of ccp. |
