| Objective:Genotyping of Trichophyton violaceum(T. violaceum)were isolated from children's tinea capitis in Xinjiang, and compare with the isolates from Beijing and Taiwan, analyzing the genotypic characteristics of T. violaceum in Xinjiang area, offer evidence for molecular epidemiological study of causative agents of children's tinea capitis in Xinjiang area. Methods:Genotyping study of 30 strains of T. violaceum were isolated from children's tinea capitis in Xinjiang was performed by PCR-RFLP method in non transcribed spacer(NTS)of rDNA, used 5 kind of restriction enzymes, Haelll, Bgll, Mspl, Ddel and Mbol and compared with 9 strains of T. violaceum from Beijing and 2 strains from Taiwan. Results Twelve genotypes were found for 41 strains with restriction enzyme Ddel. Thirty Xinjiang strains showed 10 genotypes, among them 17 strains showed 7 genotypes, and have intraspecies diversity compared to Beijing and Taiwan strains. Other 13 Xinjiang stains showed 3 genotypes, have genetic homogeneity with Beijing and Taiwan strains. Conclusions T. violaceum isolated from children's tinea capitis in Xinjiang has unique genotypes, and also have genetic homogeneity with Beijing and Taiwan strains, showed genetic diversity of T. violaceum in Xinjiang. |
