The Clinical Effect Observation Of The Traditional Chinese Medicine Triple Therapy In Treating Steraid-Induced Avascular Necrosis Of Femoral Head

Objective:To investigate the effects and mechanism of Traditional Chinese Medicine triple therapy in treating steraid-induced avascular necrosis of femoral head.Methods:Retrospectively analyzed a total of 21 hips in 16 patients with Steraid-induced Avascular Necrosis of Femoral Head in orthopedic clinic of Affiliated Hospital of Chengdu University of Traditional Chinese Medicine from 2009 to 2010.Given the TCM triple therapy, the treatment is within the rule by the Chinese herbal medicine, massage, self-care in patients with functional training and the TCM composed of combination therapy, observed of treatment VAS, signs,symptoms and degree of hip motion changement, the self before and after comparison after 3 months, taken follow-up X-ray films before and after treatment after 6 months.To observe the effects of The Traditional Chinese Medicine triple therapy and possible Mechanism.Results:The total response rate is 90.48% in cases observed, the difference VAS, signs,symptoms and degree of hip motion before treatment was statistically significant(P<0.05) as composed with after.The symptoms after treatment were improved than before. However, the difference VAS, signs, symptoms and degree of hip motion after treatment was not statistically significant(P>0.05) as composed with 6 months follow-up after treatment.The difference between X-ray after 6 months follow-up stage and before treatment was not obvious which indicate there may be some effects in delaying aggravation of the disease.Conclusion:Traditional Chinese Medicine triple therapy in treating SANFH can relieve pain and improve joint function, in terms of Delaying aggravation of the disease may have some effect; Traditional Chinese Medicine triple therapy in treating SANFH is of effective and secure, it is worthy of further study and application.
