Study On Quality Of Life Of Allergic Rhinitis With Different Syndrome Type And Analysis Of Influential Factors

ObjectivesInvestigating the QOL of the Allergic Rhinitis with different syndrome type of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM)and analyzing the major influential factors of QOL.MethodsAll patients adopted unified Chinese edition of "General Information and Screening Questionnaires","Syndrome Type of Traditional Chinese Medicine Questionnaires","Rhinoconjunctivitis Quality of Life Questionnaire" for investigating and collecting the database of syndrome type, QOL score and influential factors.ResultThere is significant statistics disparity with different syndrome type in the QOL total score. The score of deficiency-weakness of spleen-Qi's patient is highest, the score of asthenia cold of lung-qi's patient is lowest. There is significant statistics disparity with different syndrome type in the score of Non-Nose/Eye Symptoms (domains 3), Eye Symptoms (domains 6) and Emotional (domains 7) (p<0.05), but there is no significant statistics in the score of other domains (p>0.05). Family history showed negative correlation with the QOL total score of kidney yang deficiency's patients (p<0.05).Types of AR showed correlation with the score of Practical Problems (domains 4) and Nasal Symptoms (domains 5) (p<0.05).The other influential factors showed no correlation with the score of other domains and total score. ConclusionThe grades of QOL of AR are low. There is diferent emphasis of QOL lesion with difierent syndrome and different influential factors. Adopting the aimed treatment can improve the curative effect of TCM and the QOL of patients by treatment based on syndrome type.The QOL total score of kidney yang deficiency's patients which have family history is higher than which do not have family history. The QOL score of Practical Problems(domains 4)and Nasal Symptoms(domains 5)which is persistent AR is higher than which is intermittent AR.So the impact on the QOL from different influential factors such as gender,age, pathogenesis, smoking history, number of allergens is extremely small.The QOL lesion of patient which is deficiency-weakness of spleen-Qi is the most serious. The averaged pathogenesis of these patients are longer than patients of other syndrome type. So we must pay attention to these patients, give them early treatment and intervention as far as possible which ensure enough course of treatment in the same time.There are complicated and incorporative situlation in syndrome type of AR. We need more in-depth research in future to reflect the syndrome type of AR objectively, which can be benefic to the need of clinic and scientific research.
