BackgroundChronic heart failure has become a global medical problem. Associated with heart failure the past studies mostly around Western Syndromes and biochemical markers, ECG index, and ultrasound index started. The basic point for the composition of TCM syndromes associated with specific indicators ultrasound study rare. ObjectivesProspective study patients'syndrome of TCM of chronic heart failure and the cardiac function and relevant indicators of ventricular remodeling and the relationship between them to explore the standard means of TCM syndrome of chronic heart failure. Methods Select Affiliated Hospital of the University of Guangzhou Traditional Chinese Medicine from March 2010 to March 2011 admitted patients, which met the inclusion criteria of patients as research subjects. Research object for each TCM diagnosis, records ejection fraction (LVEF), and record the left ventricular end diastolic diameter (LVDd (D)), interventricular septal thickness (IVST), left ventricular posterior wall thickness (PWT), Height, weight, and conduct mass index (LVMI) calculations. Then do statistical analysis using the basic syndrome Chronic Heart Failure Distribution and the LVMI, LVEF relationship. ResultSyndrome of Chronic Heart Failure of basic statistics from the observed indicators, the biggest proportion is Qi, the following is blood stasis group, almost all patients had Qi and blood stasis syndrome. The rest were phlegm, the water stop, yin deficiency syndrome, yang deficiency syndrome. Phlegm syndrome has the lowest ejection fraction, followed by yang deficiency syndrome, Water stop syndrome, blood stasis, Qi, yin deficiency syndrome. Water stop syndrome have the biggest left ventricular mass index, followed by yang deficiency syndrome, Phlegm, Qi, blood stasis, yin deficiency syndrome. However, the basic TCM syndrome and left ventricular mass index and left ventricular ejection fraction of the statistical results are shown of no significant difference (ejection fraction, P= 0.8705; mass index, P=0.6108.). Qi and blood stasis, Qi and blood stasis and phlegm and water stop, Qi and blood stasis and phlegm, Qi and yin deficiency syndrome and blood stasis, Qi and yang deficiency syndrome and blood stasis and water retention, Qi and blood stasis and water retention group are the common clinical syndromes.ConclusionQi and the blood stasis of the clinical syndromes in chronic heart failure are the most common syndromes. Water stop group have the highest index of LVMI, phlegm syndrome have the lowest ejection fraction, followed by yang deficiency syndrome. But the result has not yet reached significant difference between the six syndromes.
