Objective:By research of "Cai Ai Bian (A Book on Adoption of Moxibustion)", to sum up medical characteristics of Ye Guangzuo, and to dig out the academic thought, clinical experiences and medical characteristics in south of five Ridges of the book. So as to provide of inspiration and reference for acupuncturology, promote the development of acupuncture, and make useful exploration on febrile illness of moxibustion.Methods:In this study, we collate data of the book, then discus and prospect the academic thought, clinical value and the characteristics of south of five ridges. Furthermore, exploit its unique and new method of treatment. Moreover, compare the book and other books of moxibustion for vertical and horizontal contrast to refine the book's academic characteristics, and ultimately concluded the academic characteristics of the book. Comparisons of the books available are "Zhou Hou Bei Ji Fang" and "Shen Jiu Jing Lun".Results:The results show that "Cai Ai Bian" emphasis both on theory and practice. It had a profound and unique understanding in using acupuncture and Chinese medicine.Compare with ancient moxibustion monographs, we found that this book has following characteristics.1. It was affected a profound impact on classical Chinese medicine, emphasis on the differentiation of Zang and Fu and Meridian Differentiation, particular attention to the Meridian Differentiation.
