Ovarian cancer is one of the three major female genital malignant tumor, the incidence is the third of female genital malignant tumors. Ovarian cancer is a high degree of malignancy and fast-growing malignant tumors, because of ovarian cancer's occult happening, the rapid progress and the lack of effective methods for early diagnosis, now,70%-80%of patients with ovarian cancer have been found in the late stage, the 5-year survival rate is only 20%-30%.Because the early survival rate of patients with ovarian cancer is nearly 90%, so the early diagnosis of ovarian cancer and early treatment are the key to improving the prognosis. The HE4 gene was found in the epididymis cellula epithelialis at the first time. It is one protein which coding contain four carboxyuracil-type WFDC(disulfide bond cores domain). HE4 is one of fairly aeschynomenous ovarian cancer tumor markers which was generally used by degrees at present. It is gradually used in the diagnose, antidiastole, monitoring the pathogenetic condition and overview the curative effect of the ovarian cancer. The level of the HE4 in the ovarian cancer is step up significantly, and this level is closed with tissue-type and clinical stage of the ovarian cancer. Methods:ELISA method was used to detect the concentration of HE4 in the blood serum in the ovarian cancer group, benign ovarian tumor group, the other malignant gynecology tumor group and malignant tumor of other organ group; In order to observe the deference of the HE4 in the blood serum between preoperative and postoperative of the ovarian cancer group. Compare the contribution of the concentration of the HE4 in the blood serum in the ovarian cancer group with CA125 in the diagnose of the ovarian cancer.Result:The concentration of HE4 in the blood serum in the ovarian cancer group is 242.76±113.40pM and the masculine rate is 70.59%, it predominance higher than the benign ovarian tumor group (85.57±63.40 pmol/L and 7.02%), the other malignant gynecology tumor group (73.16±12.27 pmol/L and 0.00%), malignant tumor of other organ group (80.65±6.24 pmol/L and 0.00%)and control group(43.95±18.16 pmol/L and 0.00%) (P<0.01); the concentration of postoperative of the ovarian cancer group is 134.83±56.20 pmol/L, predominance lower than preoperative (242.76±113.40 pmol/L) (P<0.05). The masculine rate of HE4 in the blood serum in the earlier period ovarian cancer group is higher than the CA125. In the ovarian cancer group, the sensitiveness and specificness of the HE4 is 89.06% and 97.63%, the sensitiveness and specificness of the CA125 is 79.68% and 84.02%, the sensitiveness and specificness of the HE4 combinated with CA125 is 92.18.% and 76.92%. The sensitiveness of HE4 combinated with CA125 is higher than each of them, and the specificness of HE4 combinated with CA125 is lower than each of them.Conclusion:1. The level of the HE4 in the ovarian cancer is step up significantly, it means that the HE4 has significant significance in the diagnose of the ovarian cancer.2. The level of the HE4 in the postoperative of ovarian cancer is more lower than preoperative, it means that the HE4 is one of the significant tumor markers which can be used to monitoring the pathogenetic condition and overview the curative effect of the ovarian cancer.3. In the diagnose of the ovarian cancer, the sensibility of HE4 is better than CA125, it means that HE4 is one of new tumor marker which sensibility was better than CA125, it will be connect with CA125 in the diagnose of the ovarian cancer.4. The sensitiveness of HE4 combinated with CA125 is higher than each of them, and the specificness of HE4 combinated with CA125 is lower than each of them, it means that HE4 combinated with CA125 could raise the early diagnosis of the ovarian cancer and also raise the early treatment.
