Object:To investigate the therapeutic effect of Sanjin Pian(SJP) on Chronic non-bacterial prostatitis(CNP) and its related mechanisms.Methods: Seventy wistar rats(maleness) were randomly divided into 7 groups:the normal control group,the model group,the Qianliekang Tablets group,the Prostat Tablets group,and SJP high,medium,low dose groups.Except the normal control group,the other groups were administered with carrageenan in prostate tissue to establish Chronic non-bacterial prostatitis model.7 days after the administration of carrageenan,the Qianliekang Tablets group,the Prostat Tablets group and SJP high,medium,low dose groups were treated with corresponding drug,the normal control group and the model group were treated with distilled water.During the administration,the body weight of the rats was weighted per week.The specimens were collected and the biochemical criteria was determined 21 days after administration.(1)The weight of the rats and their prostate were weighted.Fixing the prostate samples by 10% formalin solution,making them into pathological section.Then the pathological change of prostates was observed by microscope.(2)The EPS of the rats were collected to the glass slide after the rats anesthesia. The color and transparency were observed by eyes, the WBC and normalcorpuscleso- flecithin of the EPS were observed by microscope.(3)The activity of ACP of serum were determined by corresponding kit.(4) The prostate gland of rats was maked into tissue homogenate,then the activity of SOD,the content of MDA,IL-1βand TNF-αin the tissue homogenate were determined by corresponding kits.(5)The concentration of Zn2+ in the tissue homogenate was determined by corresponding kit.Result:(1)The pathologic results indicated that,the SJP was able to alleviate the inflammation , fibrosis and hyperplasia of the prostate 21 days after administraition.(2) The SJP could alleviate the number of WBC and normalize the density of normalcorpuscleso-flecithin and pH of the EPS .(3) The blood biochemical indexes indicated that,the SJP could lower the activity of ACP.(4) The biochemical indicator indicated that,the activity of SOD in the prostates was improved and the concentration of MDA,IL-1β,and TNF-αwere reduced by treatment of SJP.(5)The Zn2+ test indicated that,the concentration of Zn2+ in the prostates of CNP mouse were improved by treatment of SJP.Conclusions:The SJP has obvious therapeutic effect on CNP mouse.The mechanism may be relate to anti-oxidization,improve the content of Zn2+,and regulate immunity and pH of the EPS.
