Relationship Between Serum Fractalkine And Type 2 Diabetic Nephropathy

Objective Testing the serum FKN level with type 2 diabetes, in order to explore the change of serum fractalkine level at different stages of type 2 diabetic nephropathy and its clinical significance.Methods 64 type 2 diabetes mellitus patients were chosen at the affiliated hospital of Guilin Medical University,from December 2008 to June 2009. According to urinary albumin excretion rate (UAER) these patients with diabetic were divided into three groups, 23 cases of normoalbuminuria (NA), 23 cases of microalbuminuria (MA) and 18 cases of clinical proteinuria (CP). 24 cases of healthy physical examination were selected in the same hospital over the same period as the normal control group (NC). All the subjects test the fasting blood glucose (FBG), two hours postprandial blood glucose (2hPG), hemoglobin A1c (HbA1c), blood lipid, C-reactive protein (CRP) and renal function. Measured serum FKN level by enzyme linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). All the analysis were performed by SPSS13.0. The serum FKN in different groups and the relation between FKN and other variables were studied by five ways such as Chi-square test, One-Way ANOVA, Pearson correlation analysis, multiple stepwise regression analysis and rank-sum test.Resultsâ‘ The serum FKN level increased with increment of UAER. There were differences among the four groups (P<0.05).â‘¡The pearson correlation analysis demonstrated that the serum FKN level positively correlated with UAER,FPG,2hPG,HbA1c, TC, LDL-C, Cr, BUN and CRP, negatively related with HDL-C.â‘¢The multiple stepwise regression analysis showed that the serum FKN level positively correlated with UAER, CRP and LDL-C.Conclusionâ‘ The serum FKN level in T2DM was higher than that in healthy people.â‘¡The serum FKN level in T2DM has relationships with disorders of blood glucose and lipid metabolic.â‘¢The serum FKN level was heightening gradually with the increment of UAER.â‘£The serum FKN level positively correlated with Cr and BUN.
