Objective:Through the Niao Changshu capsule treats benign prostatic hyperplasia—(renal) qi deficiency and stagnation of blood type in clinical research, Observes Niao Changshu capsule to treat this disease the clinical curative effect.Methods:With the randomized and controlled method,72 patients of benign prostatic hyperplasia—(renal) qi deficiency and stagnation of blood type were selected,36 cases in one test group (Niao Changshu capsule), while 36 cases in a control group (Long Bishu capsule) all 36 cases. Screening of eligible, after 3 months of treatment, The eligible patients, After a course of eight weeks'treatment, which we assess the therapeutic effects by observing the improvements of the TCM Syndrome marks, the international prostate symptom score (I-PSS), voiding symptoms on quality of life (QOL), Prostate volume, residual urine volume, maximum uroflow rate changes of detection before and after the treatment. All results are statistically analyzed with SPSS16.0, and P<0.05 show there is a significant difference, having statistical sense.Results:In the test group(Niao Changshu capsule), the rate of the marked effective cases is 65.6%, the rate of effective cases is 21.9%. and the rate of inefficacy is 12.5%, The rate of total effective is 87.5%; compared to control groups (display the marked efficiency rate 36.4%, the effective rate 30.3%, the inefficacy rate 33.3%, The total effective rate 66.7%), the total significant difference has statistical sense (P<0.05), In the areas of the TCM Syndrome marks, the international prostate gland symptom grade (I-PSS), the urination symptom to quality of life influence (QOL), residual urine volume, maximum uroflow rate, both groups show significant improvements after the treatment (P<0.05). But the comparion of prostate volume isn't so significant to show statistical sense (P> 0.05).Conclusion:The Niao Changshu capsule can obviously alleviate the symptoms of benign prostatic hyperplasia—(renal)qi deficiency and stagnation of blood type, The results show that the effect of Niao Changshu capsule on the BPH is superior to that of Long Bishu capsule; So the Niao Changshu capsule is a compound preparation safe and effective, and it is a good choice to treat this disease.
