Systematic Review Of Integrated TCM And West Medicine Therapy For Idiopathic Membranous Nephropathy

Objective:To evaluate the efficacy of Integrated Treatment of idiopathic membranous nephropathy, and provide scientific basis for Integrated Treatment of idiopathic membranous nephropathy.Methods:Cochrane Controlled Trials Register (CCTR),PubMed,Embase and Chinese Biological Medicine database(CBM),China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI),WeiPu data (VIP) and WanFang database were widely referred. More than 10 Chinese core journals related to TCM during 2009 were also searched by hand.Two authors independently assessed trial qualities and extracted data from these Randomized Controlled Trails, then input them into the Mete-analysis by Rev.Man 5.0.23.Results:12 studies (604 patients) were identified. The results of Meta-analysis indicated that there are evidences to support that based on the basic application of traditional Chinese medicine treatment of idiopathic membranous nephropathy showed better clinical efficacy, also more effiency to improve serum albumin, and lower 24h urinary protein level; Compared with the same parallel group randomized control group, Chinese Medicine plus hormone or immunosuppressive agents not only to better improve serum albumin, and lower 24h urinary protein, creatinine and urea nitrogen levels, reduce the relapse rate and adverse reactions.Conclusions:Integrative Medicine is an promising treatment for idiopathic membranous nephropathy, and Integrative Medicine IMM can improve the clinical efficacy。Since the current on randomized controlled trials about Integrative treatment of idiopathic membranous nephropathy of less,and as the studies of these RCTs belong to lower qualites,the strength of evidence is lower.So big sample RCTs and multiply-center should be used to assess the effect of therapy in adult with IMN.
