Objective:To evaluate cost-efectiveness of poking reduction and open reduction in treating Sandersâ…¡Fracture of Calcaneus. Methods:80 patients with Sandersâ…¡Fracture of Calcaneus were selected from Shandong Provincial Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine and randomly divided into poking reduction group and open reduction group with 40 cases in each group. There were 26 male and 14 female in poking reduction group and 30 male and 10 female in open reduction group. Bohler angle, Gissane angle, central width of the calcaneus, stance phase, HM-HL, arch index and subtalair joint flexibility were measured, Excellent and good rate were determined by Maryland Foot Score. The clinical results and expenses of the two treatment schemes were compared and concluded with the method of cost-effeetiveness analysis. Results:Bohler angle were 30.32 and 30.54, Gissane angle were 133.73 and 134.86, central width of the calcaneus were 30.18mm and 30.24mm, stance phase were 0.679s and 0.715s, HM-HL were-36.49 and-34.32, arch index were 30.26 and 30.47 and subtalair joint flexibility were 10.53 and 10.89 respectively, Excellent and good rate were both 90%. The cost-efectiveness ratio(C/E)were 6.06 and 136.19 respectively. Conclusion:Cost-efectiveness ratio of the poking reduction is superior to that of the open reduction in treating Sandersâ…¡Fracture of Calcaneus. Poking reduction is a useful method to treat Sandersâ…¡Fracture of Calcaneus with rapid wound healing and less cost.
