Draw three conclusions from the results in this paper. First, it has revealed for the first time that the academic thoughts of Wu Ju-tong originally come from Huang Di Nei Jing, learn from Zhang Zhong-jing and Ye Tian-shi, and developed them. Secondly, the major causes of the morbidity can be summarised in five aspects, i.e., the thermal interference evil heart, the gods wish to chaos; lung puzzled retrograde pericardium; febrile disease mistaken governance, mind was scrambling; wet longer restrain evil, Inner Mongolia-minded; longer restrain evil heat, wear and tear really overcast. Thirdly, the central ideas of the treatments are Aromatic Kaiqiao, Heat Kaiqiao, Xiere Hozu, and Yangyin Shengjin. The academic thoughts will provide new ideas as well as new approaches for the clinical diagnosis and treatments for the infectious diseases, neurasthenia, depression, menopausal syndrome, cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases supervening the mental disorders.
