| Objective: To investigate the effects of Lizhixiao Hypolipidemic Capsule on the hyperiperimia Wistar rat with high antioxidantand its therapeutic mechanism.Methods: Giving high-fat diet to make atherosclerosis model at the same time giving drug for delivery 15d with different concentrations of LZX. Take blood from the heart and to obtain the liver next day. The ratio of the volume Liver was calculated; the content of the blood serum were detected by colorimeter on malondildehyde (MDA), Nitric oxide (NO) and the activity of superoxide dismutase (SOD), glutathione peroxides (GSH-PX), nitric oxide syntheses (tNOS) and the activity of the liver of the blood plasma were detected by colorimeter on the superoxide dismutase (SOD) and malondildehyde(MDA).The pathologic morphology of liver was also monitored using the optical microscopes.Results: LZX made the ratio of the volume Liver was lessened. The activity of SOD was increased, and the level of MDA was decreased in the liver .The liver cell structure and functions were also protected. LZX up regulated NOS in the blood serum and increased NO; up regulated the activity of SOD,GSH-PX in the blood serum and SOD; down regulated the content of MDA.Conclusion : LZX showed significantly the improved anti-oxidant and reduced serum lipid activity, enhanced the life quality. The possible mechanism is that:enhanced the ability of the body anti-oxidation activity, preventing the generation of excessive lipid per-oxidation and injuring the free radicals.
