Heart disease is one of the main diseases that threaten people's health, So it is important to research topics to develop Non-Invasive electrocardiogram detecting instrument to detect and evaluate the situation of the heart, reveal the cause of the heart disease and treatment of disease. As a result, The exact way to sample ECG signal is very significant in clinical medicine.With the quick development of the electronic and embedded technologies, some new solutions to the ECG monitoring are emerging."The portable holter based on ARM"proposed in this subject is a handheld ECG device which is portable, low-power, low-cost, mass storage and can display the heart signal on the LCD in real time. Because it provide the function of display, so the patient can observe the ECG signal directly. In this system, a holter which has large capacity of memory used SD is designed. It can detect the heart signal 24-hour continuously without interruption. The system has the functions of ECG acquisition, filtering interferential signal, amplifying the signals, storing and displaying the heart signals. The CPU of the embedded platform is Samsung's S3C2440.In order to achieve the above-mentioned features, The system is made up of two parts: hardware circuit and software programming. Hardware parts including: Power circuit, Pre-amplifier, Right leg drive circuit, filter circuit, main amplifier and level elevation circuit. Software parts including: ADC driver procedure, SD driver procedure and LCD display driver procedure. Tests proved that this system has reaserched the design requirement.
