| Objective To study the threshold of multi-slice CT (MSCT) perfusion parameters in the post-radiotherapy local recurrence nasopharyngeal carcinoma by different input and output vessels for the threshold's sensitivity specificity and feasibility.Methods A total 57 patients including 31 patients with post-radiotherapy local recurrence nasopharyngeal carcinoma and 26 patients with local fibrosis were performed perfusion CT. According to the two different input and output vessel group's, the measurement of perfusion parameters were analyzed by statistics and perfusion parameters threshold was calculated. Sensitivity and specificity were used to evaluate the diagnostic value of perfusion parameters threshold in the local recurrence tumor of NPC. Results The external carotid artery group, perfusion parameters threshold of BF, BV, MTT and PS in the local recurrence nasopharyngeal carcinoma of NPCwere347.02(ml/min/100g),13.74(ml/100g),1.82(s),15.39(ml/min/g),respecti vely. The sensitivity and the specificity of diagnosis in local recurrence tumor were 90.30%,83.90%,66.70%,93.50%,and 93.90%,97.00%,60.00%,88.50%, respectively. The carotid artery-jugular vein group's, perfusion parameters threshold of BF, BV, MTT and PS in the local recurrence tumor of NPC were 128.06(ml/min/100g),3.88(ml/100g),1.88(s),11.05(ml/min/g), respectively. The Sensitivity and the Specificity of diagnosis in local recurrence tumor were 80.00%,93.30%,81.80%,96.70% and 68.20%,54.50%,63.70%,45.50%, respectively.Conclusion The external carotid artery group's threshold of MSCT perfusion parameters in the post-radiotherapy local recurrence nasopharyngeal carcinoma is more valuable in diagnosis than the internal carotid artery group's,which also has reference to the diagnosis.The internal carotid artery can be an alternative vessel, For external carotid artery and/or mandibular vein can not use.
