Objective To investigate the character of the CT perfusion between rabbit nasopharyngeal VX2 tumor (RNVX2T) and Human Nasopharyngeal carcinoma (HNPC) and the correlation of CT perfusion of RNVX2T at pre-and post-radiotherapy and tumor microvascular density. Materials and Method The CT perfusion features of 15 patients with pre-treatment HNPC,the CT perfusion and pathology appearances of 8 cases of pre-and post-radiotheraphy RNVX2T models were analyzed comparatively and respectively. Results (1)The values of BF, BV and PS between RNVX2T and HNPC have no statistical difference (p>0.05). (2). The values of MVD, BF, PS and BV of pre-radiotheraphy RNVX2T were statistically higher than those of post-radiotheraphy RNVX2T. The values of BF, PS and BV of RNVX2T were positive linear correlations with that of MVD. Conclusion (1) The main values of CT perfusion between RNVX2T and HNPC had not statistical difference. The RNVX2T model might be the best substitution tool for medical imaging research and other correlation research of NPC..(2) The values of CT perfusion pre-and post-radiotherapy were positive linear correlations with the MVD of the RNVX2T , so it could be regarded as a surrogate marker of tumor angiogenic activity.
