Objective:To explore the efficacy and the value of the treatment for lower extremity arteriosclerosis obliteran (TASC Type B, Type C) through comparative study the short-term primary patgncy, ankle-brachial index (ABI), clinical symptoms of bypass grafts and endovascular therapy. Methods:From May,2005 to December, 2010, 43 consecutive patients(43 limbs) who registerd in the first affiliated hospital of Guangxi medical university which a clinical diagnosis of lower extremity arteriosclerosis obliteran, University, divided into two groups:20 cases of surgical group, 23 cases of intervention group(PTA-stent). Record and analyze the information as follow: Age, clinical symptom, TASC Type, ABI, operative complications, primary patgncy, hospitalization days, hospitalization expenses. Results:The results showed that two groups'technical success rate, clinical success rate, primary patgncy, hospitalization expenses were no significant statistical difference (P>0.05). Two groups'hospitalization days existed statistical significance(P<0.05), there was short hospitalization days about intervention group. Conclusion:Short term effect of endovascular therapy (PTA-stent) was similar as surgerical bypass grafts. Comparative two groups, the therapy of PTA-stent was more safe, minimally invasive, rapid recovery, shorter hospitalization days than surgical group.
