| Objective:Through clinical observation, to value the therapeutic effects of treating Lumbar disc herniation by taking chinese medicine combined with exercising the lumbar and back muscules initially, and to discuss its mechanism.Method:According to the principle of randomization, we divided the 80 cases suffering from lumbar disc herniation into such groups as the control group treated with modification of DuHuoJiSheng dicoction and the experimental group with combination of modification of DuHuoJiSheng dicoction and functional exercises. The former contains 34 cases and the later 46. Then we observed the changes of the pain and dysfunctional index of the two sets between pretherapy and post-treatment and analyzed the results by statistics at last.Results:The totally effective rate of the control group is 93.5 percentage, and that of the experimental group is 83.4 percentage. The experimental group has obviouse efficiency, the improvement of pain and living quality of this group is better than the control group.Conclusions:The clinical observation indicated that it is effective for modification of DuHuoJiSheng dicoction to treat Lumbar disc herniation, thus the combined treatment of taking this dicoction and the functional exercise of lumbar and back muscules was more effective. It is an economical, simple, effective therapeutic method of taking chinese medicine combined with the functional exercise of lumbar and back muscules, which is worthy of being introduced.
