| Objective:to investigate the effect of shenxiao prescription on Protein kinase C of diabetic nephropathy ratsMethods:SD Rats were randomly divided into 4 groups:sham operation group, mono-nephrectomy+streptozotocin group, mono-nephrectomy+streptozotocin+ shenxiao prescription group, mono-nephrectomy+streptozotocin+irbesartan group. The rats had been treated for 16 weeks.Results:The Upro, mPKC and M/C ratio of the rats of shenxiao prescription and irbesartan treated groups were significantly declined, the renal pathological changes in the rats of these two groups were also mitigated comparing to those of the streptozotocin group.Conclusion:Shenxiao prescription may slow the progress of CKD by inhibiting the activity of cPKC.
